The bridge that was meant to be temporary

The Accademia Bridge was built in wood as a temporary solution, pending something more worthy. It is still there eighty years later, and it has become one of the most photographed spots in the city. Accademia follows the same logic: straight lines, no effects, ergonomics worked out to the millimetre. The right things never need replacing.
